Captain Hughes passed fit for Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland captain Aaron Hughes has been passed fit to play in tomorrow’s Euro 2008 qualifier against Spain.

The Aston Villa defender picked up a head injury in the weekend's 3-0 humbling by Iceland at Windsor Park.

Manager Lawrie Sanchez is expected to make several changes ahead of the game but says he won’t name his team until about an hour before kick-off.
