Bolton have signed Iran midfielder Andranik Teimourian on a two-year contract.

The deal has been completed after the club obtained a work permit for the 23-year-old, who joins from Iranian side Abu Moslem.

Teimourian is a defensive midfielder, who has won 11 caps for his country and played in all three of their matches at the World Cup this summer.

Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce told his club’s official website www.bwfc.co.uk: “Andranik is a talented player and somebody who I believe will be able to adapt to the tough demands of the Premiership.

“He impressed a lot of people during the World Cup and I am delighted that we have beaten off a lot of competition to get his signature.”
