Shelbourne are to appeal and demand that they be awarded the three points from last week's game against Bohemians.

Shels lost the match at Dalymount Park 2-1 but it has transpired that Bohemians defender Jason McGuinness was suspended and should not have played.

The Gypsies look set to lose three-points, unless they can prove that they did not know that McGuinness should have been suspended.

But Shelbourne want to be awarded the points, or have the game replayed, because they believe that McGuinness, who was involved in the build-up to the winning goal, gave Bohemians an unfair advantage.
