Madrid ready to discuss new deal with Beckham

Real Madrid are keen to tie David Beckham to a new contract after president Ramon Calderon declared the former England captain a key part of the club’s plans.

Beckham’s current contract with the Spanish giants runs out next June and the 31-year-old could be free to negotiate with other clubs in January.
