Cronin adds Conroy to Waterford City squad
Waterford manager Gareth Cronin has added a fourth former Dublin City player to the Blues by signing goalkeeper David Conroy.
The former Ballymun United goalkeeper has been voted the top amateur player in Ireland on several occasions but made the jump to League football this season with Dublin City.
However, he never got a look in because of Gary Rogers form though former Vikings assistant Gareth Cronin had no hesitation in signing him as a replacement for the departed Jimmy Fyffe.
Cronin said: “David is an excellent keeper who did well every time he got a run with Dublin City.
“However his opportunities were limited by the excellent form of Gary Rogers but I have no doubt that David will shine in the eircom league."
