Oman on the double as Derry move top-of-table

Central defender Ken Oman scored twice as Derry moved level on points with eircom Premier Division leaders Shelbourne with a game in hand.

The Oman goals were identikit headers from Kevin Deery corners in the 23rd and 31st minutes.

Saints hit back through substitute Colm Foley five minutes before half-time when he got on the end of a Mark Quigley cross to head past David Forde.

Substitute Mark Farren sealed it for Derry 12 minutes from time when latching onto Ciarán Martyn’s pass to shoot home with his first touch.
