Keith Foy stunned United Park with a stoppage-time equaliser as Drogheda failed to make ground on the league leaders and twice blew the lead.

With four minutes up in added time, left-back Foy latched onto a loose ball nearly 30 yards out and unleashed a stunning left-foot shot that found the top corner of the net.

Drogheda ran the game but didn’t take the lead until two minutes into the second half, when Shane Barrett curled home a 20-yard shot following Graham Gartland’s pass.

A stunning goal brought Sligo level on 64 minutes when Faz Kuduzovic set up Adam Hughes to score with a terrific 25-yard drive that went in off the underside of the Drogheda crossbar.

But Drogheda hit back within three minutes for what they thought would be the winner.

Defender Gartland got on the end of Shane Robinson’s free kick to power a header past Richard Brush, but there was a late twist in Sligo's favour.
