Addicks close in on Faye

Charlton are closing in on Newcastle midfielder Amady Faye.

Iain Dowie is looking to further strengthen his squad with the Barclays Premiership campaign less than two weeks away.

And Sky Sports News reported this morning that the 29-year-old Senegalese player is having a medical with Charlton.

He would be the third arrival at The Valley, following veteran Dutch striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and defender Simon Walton.
