The Football Association and McDonald’s today announced a new four-year agreement to boost coaching for young players across England.

The new deal aims to build on McDonald’s previous four-year arrangement which created 8,000 new community-based volunteer coaches to provide youngsters with more access to qualified coaching.

McDonald’s aims to coach a million young people by creating 4,000 new volunteer coaches, doubling the number of local accredited clubs by 50% to 8,000 by 2010 and running more free community football festivals in every county.

The aim is to culminate in a national coaching bonanza at the new Wembley Stadium.
