Martin O’Neill is relishing the opportunity of trying to recapture former glories for Aston Villa after ending a 15-month break from football to become their new manager.

Around 1,000 fans greeted O’Neill when he arrived at Villa Park, with the Irishman attempting to resuscitate a club who have been perennial under-achievers in recent times.
