Wise hoping to lure Ince
Paul Ince has held talks with Swindon boss Dennis Wise with a view to joining the League Two outfit in a coaching capacity.
Ince recently applied to be Glenn Hoddle’s successor at Wolves but, despite making the shortlist of candidates, was overlooked because of a lack of managerial experience.
The former Manchester United and Liverpool midfielder, who spent four years at Wolves, wanted to stay as a coach but left Molineux without even speaking to new boss Mick McCarthy.
Ince, 38, could now join close friend Wise at the County Ground.
“We have spoken and he is a good friend of mine,” confirmed Wise.
“We’ve had a chat about the situation and it’s left with him really.
“I am sure there will be a few bigger clubs after him but it’s a little thought we have had and we will see what happens now.”
