Shels in talks about leasing Santry stadium

Shelbourne have confirmed that they are in talks with Fingal County Council about leasing Morton Stadium in Santry.

The athletics venue is seen by cash-strapped Shels as their ideal new home as they plan to leave Tolka Park, which will be developed for residential or commercial use.

Current tenants in Santry, Clonliffe Harriers Athletics Club, have been told that the stadium will always be used for athletics, although Shels hope to rent the ground for football.
