Gary Rogers made a brilliant one-handed save from Glen Crowe’s bullet header on 13 minutes, but it was a mere reprieve as Vikings found themselves a goal down a minute later.

Joseph Ndo’s corner was only partially cleared and Bobby Ryan's long-range daisy cutter beat Rogers.

Ndo doubled Shels’ lead two minutes before half time when firing home the rebound after Rogers could only parry Jason Byrne’s shot.

David Freeman gave Vikings hope when punishing a mistake by Sean Dillon on 64 minutes, but Shels held out for yet another win to move up to third in the table.
