Bolton appear to have won the battle to sign veteran German midfielder Dietmar Hamann from Liverpool.

Bolton appear to have won the battle to sign veteran German midfielder Dietmar Hamann from Liverpool.

It was widely anticipated the 32-year-old former international would join Manchester City – having initially rejected a move to Wanderers – after being told by Reds manager Rafael Benitez he was surplus to requirements at Anfield.
