Republic of Ireland adviser Bobby Robson has been named president of former club Ipswich Town.

The 73-year-old, who managed the Tractor Boys for 13 years before being appointed England boss in 1982, is the club’s first president since the death of Lady Blanche Cobbold in 1987.
