Zico gets Fenerbahce job

Former Japan coach Zico has been named the new boss of Turkish club Fenerbahce.

Zico, who represented Brazil with great distinction as a player, takes over after stepping down from the Japan post following a disappointing World Cup in which his side failed to qualify for the knockout stages.

He succeeds Christoph Daum, who led Fener to second place in the Turkish Super Lig last season.
