O'Neill the bookie's favourite for Sunderland job
Martin O'Neill has been installed as favourite to be appointed the next manager of Sunderland by bookmakers Ladbrokes.
The former Celtic and Leicester City manager is the 5/2 favourite to land the job vacated by fellow World Cup pundit Mick McCarthy.
Old Firm adversary Alex McLeish is the 7/2 second favourite alongside ex Charlton boss Alan Curbishley.
Many of the other names on the list hail from Ireland.
Quinn himself is 5/1, with Brian Kerr at 6/1, Roy Keane at 10/1 and Aston Villa's David O'Leary at 20/1.
Ladbrokes spokesman Donal McCarthy said: "O'Neill has been linked to every job in football in recent times.
"He's got to be the most eligible candidate on the market, being between jobs, having a great track record and supporting the club as a boy."
