Veteran strikers do the business for St Pats

St. Pat’s veteran strikers Trevor Molloy and Paul Keegan did the business as John McDonnell’s men bounced back from their 3-0 setback at Shelbourne midweek to end Sligo‘s little winning run.

Keegan and Dave Mulcahy got the ball forward for the lead goal on 20 minutes and Trevor Molloy swivelled superbly inside the area to shoot past John O’Hara.

But Sligo stunned Saints to level five minutes before half time. The home defence were static as Keith Foy’s free kick came into the area and Darren Mansarem volleyed to the net.

A terrific goal from Molloy restored Saints' lead on 52 minutes before keegan worked a one-two with Alan Reilly to seal the points 15 minutes from time.
