Longford get first away win

Goals midway through each half from in-form Dave Mooney and defender Stephen Paisley gave Longford a first away win of the season at Dalymount.

Dublin started brightly but still found themselves a goal down on 17 minutes. Dean Fitzgerald worked the ball back to Mooney following Steven Gough's long ball into the area and the striker hit his third goal in successive matches when shooting to the roof of the net.

Paisley then sealed the win with the only note of a dour second half when heading home Gough’s 65th minute corner.
