Hoops favourite for Jarosik

Celtic are set to complete the signing of Chelsea’s Jiri Jarosik in the next few days, according to his agent.

The Scottish champions are one of a number of clubs reported to be interested in the 28-year-old Czech midfielder.

But his representative, Pavel Zika, believes Celtic are likely to win the race for his signature.

He told the Scottish Sun: “It is probable that, within the next few days, Jiri will sign with Celtic. There are very good clubs from England, Germany and also Spain interested.

“Jiri will make the right decision. I think Celtic are favourites though. If he decides to go to Celtic then I think it would be a good decision because they are one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

“Celtic are also in the Champions League, which is very important for him.”
