Shelbourne back themselves to handle the heat

Shelbourne boss Pat Fenlon is preparing his players for testing conditions in Lithuania when his side face FK Vetra tomorrow for the start of their Intertoto Cup campaign.

The Eircom League Premier Division outfit, who are without the services of injured duo Greg O’Halloran and Gary O’Neill, will have to contend with fierce heat and a potentially poor surface in Vilnius for the first-leg encounter.
