Middlesbrough have dismissed claims they have rejected a massive bid for leading scorer Aiyegbeni Yakubu – and warned potential suitors he is not for sale.

Reports on the south coast suggested Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp had been given the green light to offer up to twice the £7.5m (€11m) Boro paid his club for the Nigerian international last summer as he attempts to rebuild his team after avoiding relegation.
