Andrews eyes England clash
Trinidad and Tobago defender Marvin Andrews has not given up hope up of playing against England in the World Cup Group B clash on Thursday.
The Rangers centre-back missed his country’s World Cup opener against Sweden on Saturday with a knee injury he sustained in training last week.
There had been fears the 30-year-old could be sidelined for the whole tournament but he believes he could be fit for the match against England or Trinidad and Tobago’s third group game, against Paraguay next Tuesday.
“I am really looking forward to the England game and I am trying to get myself as fit as possible,” he told Rangers’ official club website.
“God has a greater plan for Marvin and he will be back in the perfect time God wants him back before this campaign’s over.”
