Crocked Bernard leaves Drogheda

Drogheda United has parted company with former Scottish international Paul Bernard.

The 33-year-old’s career at United Park has been blighted by injuries meaning that he has struggled to hold down a place in the side.

Manager Paul Doolin paid tribute to the midfielder’s professionalism saying: “Paul brought a wealth of experience to what is a very young squad at Drogheda and we are all disappointed that Paul is leaving to go back to England.”
