Politics hold up Chelsea in Carlos chase

Chelsea will have to wait until the outcome of Real Madrid’s presidential elections before completing a possible move for Roberto Carlos.

The 33-year-old Brazil left-back has been identified by Blues boss Jose Mourinho as an addition to his squad to join summer signings Michael Ballack, Andriy Shevchenko, Salomon Kalou and Jon Obi Mikel at Stamford Bridge.
