City announce Derek Kiely appointment

Cork City have announced the appointment of former Setanta Sports commentator and presenter Derek Kiely as the new general manager/administrator of the club.

Kiely has worked as a journalist representing RTE Radio Cork, Cork 96FM, Chorus Sports Channel and most recently Setanta Sports Ireland.

Cork City Chairman Brian Lennox said: “Derek will be the first of a number of new appointments at the club as we move forward. I’m delighted to welcome Derek to Cork City Football Club and I look forward to working with him. The appointment of Derek Kiely to this new position shows that Cork City are serious about planning for the future”.

Derek Kiely said: “I’m delighted and very proud to be involved with Cork City Football Club, it’s great to work full-time with the club I support and I look forward to the challenges ahead in this very special year with participation in the UEFA Champions League still to come.”
