THE eircom League Cup quarterfinals have pitted together Cup specialists Derry City and Drogheda United.

The two clubs currently have a monopoly on the knockout competitions at present with Derry currently holding the League Cup and Drogheda boasting FAI Cup and Setanta Sports Cup triumphs in the last six months.
