Elliot signs new deal

Charlton goalkeeper Rob Elliot has signed a new contract that will keep him at The Valley until 2008.

Along with fellow rookie Darren Randolph, Elliot will continue to provide back-up for goalkeepers Thomas Myhre and Stephan Andersen.

The 20-year-old spent much of last season on loan at Accrington Stanley, the club he helped return to the Football League after a 44-year absence.
