Everton have announced they will go on a two-match pre-season tour of the United States this summer.

The Toffees will take on Columbus Crew in Ohio on July 26 before moving on to Dallas to face Club America four days later.

Upon their return to Britain they will take on Aberdeen at Pittodrie on August 8.

Other pre-season games include a July 19 fixture at Preston with a trip to Celtic four days later.

Boss David Moyes has dropped another hint the Toffees could be interested in signing Wolves defender Joleon Lescott.

Speaking about the decision not to sign Matteo Ferrari on a permanent deal, the Scot told the club’s website, evertonfc.com: “I’ve got other alternatives at the moment.

“That’s why I decided not to pursue it. There might be a new one coming in.”
