Carr appeals dismissal

Newcastle defender Stephen Carr has launched a claim for wrongful dismissal after being sent off for violent conduct in yesterday’s 1-0 win over Chelsea.

Carr was dismissed by Mike Riley for allegedly stamping on Lassana Diarra in the final Premier League match of the season.
