Millwall have appointed a new chairman who will be charged with the task of finding a manager for the relegated outfit.

Stewart Till, an ardent Lions fan and current chairman and CEO of United International Pictures, has also set promotion back to the Championship as next season’s goal.

He told the club’s official website: “I have been a supporter of Millwall since my father took me to see them play Carlisle in 1959.

“Our intention is to return to the Championship at the end of the forthcoming season. One of my tasks is the recruitment of a new team manager to bring glory back to The Den.”

Peter de Savary, who made the appointment, will continue as chairman of Millwall Holdings plc, the company who own the club.
