Shearer wants the show to go on

Alan Shearer looked ahead to tomorrow’s scan on his injured knee and admitted: “I’m praying it’s not the end”.

Shearer suffered medial ligament damage to his left knee in a challenge with Sunderland’s Julio Arca shortly after converting a penalty in Newcastle’s 4-1 derby win at the Stadium of Light.
