Chelsea reveal USA tour plans

Chelsea today unveiled plans to play Major League Soccer’s All-Star team in Chicago on August 5, as part of their summer tour to the United States.

Jose Mourinho said: “I am very happy to be coming back to the United States again. This will be our third year preparing for the new Premiership season in America and it is ideal preparation.

“This time we will have a very tough game against the best players in the MLS. Last year we played DC United and I was very impressed with the standard of American players then.”

Last month, the Premiership champions announced a tie-up with US entertainment group AEG, who operate four MLS teams and built the new Bridgeview Stadium where the All-Star game will take place.
