Controversial Italian lawyer Giovanni di Stefano is in talks with Shelbourne about buying a €1m minority shareholding in the football club.

Controversial Italian lawyer Giovanni di Stefano is in talks with Shelbourne about buying a €1m minority shareholding in the football club.

Di Stefano, who represents such characters as 'Dutchy' Holland and Saddam Hussein has previously being a director of Dundee and is keen on investing in Shelbourne.

Shelbourne have confirmed that they are in talks with Di Stefano about a deal that would wipe out their debts overnight and leave enough to help make the club stronger on the pitch.
