Coaching not for Okocha
Jay-Jay Okocha is planning to walk away from football when he retires from the game.
Bolton’s gifted playmaker intends to look at other opportunities after he quits.
Okocha, 32, said: “I have no plans to go into coaching, no, not at the moment.
“There will be so many exciting other things to do when I retire.
“I have been in football all my life so I would like to try something else.”
Not that Okocha is ready to call it a day just yet. The former Nigeria captain’s immediate future is unclear as he is out of contract in the summer.
Okocha has been linked with a move away from the Reebok Stadium and could pitch up in Qatar next season.
He added: “I believe I can still play at a high level for another two or three years if I can steer clear of injury.
“For the moment, though, my priority is finishing the season well and trying to get Bolton back into Europe.”
