Newcastle stage remarkable comeback

Newcastle staged a remarkable second-half fightback to claim a third successive derby victory at Sunderland.

Trailing 1-0 to Justin Hoyte’s first goal for the Wearsiders, the Magpies levelled on 59 minutes through substitute Michael Chopra’s opening Barclays Premiership strike just 13 seconds after his arrival.

Alan Shearer’s penalty – his first goal for his club at the Stadium of Light - put the visitors ahead on 61 minutes before and Charles N’Zogbia and substitute Albert Luque sealed a fourth league win on the trot.
