Defensive duo out for Wigan

Wigan boss Paul Jewell is facing a selection headache for Tuesday night’s Barclays Premiership clash with Aston Villa after losing central defenders Arjan de Zeeuw and Matt Jackson at Newcastle.

De Zeeuw fractured his collar bone in the 3-1 defeat at St James’ Park, while Jackson damaged a knee, and both could be out for the remainder of the season.
