Winger Andy van der Meyde completes his three-match ban against Spurs and will be available for the Stamford Bridge clash with the champions.

Matteo Ferrari is available after a thigh problem, but Nuno Valente – despite being back in light training – will not be involved over the holiday period.

Teenager James Vaughan, out all season with knee trouble, has had minor surgery in the United States and is expected to be fit for pre-season training.
