Jewell in clear over ref outburst

Wigan boss Paul Jewell will not face any formal disciplinary action by the Football Association, despite describing referee Phil Dowd as “incompetent”.

Jewell was seething at Dowd’s performance in Wigan’s 1-1 Premiership draw against Blackburn at Ewood Park on April 3.
