Defender Chris Powell, the second player rested for the Toffees clash, will also be restored to the starting line-up, but forward Marcus Bent is cup-tied.

Addicks boss Alan Curbishley is hopeful midfielder Bryan Hughes will recover from his foot injury in time but England right-back Luke Young is definitely out with an ankle problem.
