Boyd gets Prso backing
Kris Boyd has only been a Rangers player for a matter of months but Dado Prso believes he has already shown he is good enough to wear the light blue jersey.
The 22-year-old was the Bank of Scotland Premier Leagueâs top goalscorer when he quit Kilmarnock in January but, as Alex McLeishâs only transfer window capture, the pressure was on to succeed.
Thankfully for Boyd, he hit the ground running and the goals show no sign of drying up after he grabbed the winner in a 1-0 win over Motherwell at the weekend to bring his tally for the season to 31.
Prso insists Boyd has more than proved he is good enough to be a Rangers player.
He said: âHe is a very good finisher and he has proved himself in a Rangers jersey. He is a good player for us.â
But Prso believes Rangers must be more clinical in front of goal and kill off teams as they continue to chase Hearts for second spot in the SPL.
Hearts are now just three points ahead, despite boasting a 16-point cushion at one stage, and the race for Champions League football looks set to be decided when the two teams clash at Ibrox on the final day of the season.
Prso knows that goal difference could be crucial by then.
