Former Chelsea and Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich is preparing to make a comeback.

Bosnich, 34, has been out of football since 2003 when he was sacked by Chelsea after testing positive for cocaine.

But he is building up his fitness and could go into training with Conference side Grays Athletic in the summer.

“We’ll see how things go over the next six or seven weeks and we’ll see if I’m ready or not,” the former Australia international told BBC Radio London.

“My main motivation is that I owe my family and myself a better way to part from the game.

“I don’t like the fact that my mum and dad have to hold their heads in shame.”
