Paul Keegan scored a stunning second goal of the season to put Drogheda two points clear at the top of the Premier Division table.

Drogheda would have won by more but for a series of terrific saves from Chris O’Connor from Gavin Whelan, Graham Gartland and James Keddy before the deadlock was finally broken on 75 minutes.

A cushion header from Whelan from Glen Fitzpatrick’s cross set up Keegan who blasted home from the edge of the area for no more than Drogheda deserved.
