Hammers wait on Ferdinand

West Ham will check on the fitness of centre-back Anton Ferdinand ahead of tomorrow night’s trip to Manchester United.

The England under-21 international sustained a groin injury against Portsmouth earlier in the month and missed the victories over Manchester City and Wigan.

Utility man Christian Dailly remains sidelined by a torn hamstring and goalkeeper Roy Carroll is still recovering from an operation on a back problem.
