Reading promoted to the Premiership

Reading clinched promotion to the Barclays Premiership despite their unconvincing draw to Leicester at the Walkers Stadium.

Iain Hume’s opener for the hosts was cancelled out by Kevin Doyle, with Steve Coppell’s side securing a top-two finish because of results elsewhere in the Coca-Cola Championship.
