Shels face in-form Linfield

Shelbourne are hoping to end Linfield’s hex over them when they two sides meet in the Setanta Sports Cup at Tolka Park tonight.

Linfield beat Shelbourne 2-0 in the Setanta Sports Cup final last year and by the same score line last week, though they need a victory tonight to stay on course for a semi-final spot and also to end a run of four games without a victory.

But they will face a Linfield side full of confidence after they claimed the Irish League title on Saturday.

Shelbourne welcome back Owen Heary and Ollie Cahill from suspension though Greg O’Halloran (foot) and Dean Delaney (concussion) are both ruled out. Linfield are at full strength with Glenn Ferguson returning from suspensin.
