Harry Redknapp will give Argentinian playmaker Andres D’Alessandro a key role in Portsmouth’s bid to close the gap on relegation rivals West Brom and Birmingham.

D’Alessandro will be licence to roam at Upton Park behind a front pairing of Lomana LuaLua and Svetoslav Todorov, who is likely to be given the nod over Zimbabwean striker Benjani Mwaruwari.
