Defensive duo could make Magpies squad

Newcastle defenders Titus Bramble and Craig Moore could be included in the squad for Sunday’s Barclays Premiership clash with Liverpool.

Both men have recovered from hamstring problems and Bramble has a chance of playing, while Moore, who travelled to Manchester United last weekend but was not involved, could make the 16 for a competitive match for the first time since joining the club.

Stephen Carr is back in training after hernia surgery, but is unlikely to be ready until the trip to Charllton next weekend, while Michael Owen (foot) and Steven Taylor (shoulder) are still out.
