Leeds have signed striker Jermaine Beckford from non-league Wealdstone.

The 22-year-old has scored 35 goals in 40 games for the Ryman Premier League outfit this season and underwent a medical after the clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.

He is expected to be officially unveiled by the club tomorrow.

Beckford had been watched by a host of league clubs and Blackwell told Leeds’ official website: “Everything’s nearly done and we are delighted to have signed Jermaine.”
