Derry title charge off to perfect start

Goals from Ciaran Martyn and Stephen O’Flynn got Derry’s title charge off to the perfect start at the Brandywell. Stephen Kenny’s side always looked in control and went in front on 19 minutes when Sean Hargan crossed for Martyn to shoot past Darren Quigley.

UCD fought to get back into the match but were finally killed off on 76 minutes when O’Flynn added Derry’s killer second goal.
